Callie & Di are #BOSTONMAde

“We came to Boston to get an education, graduating from Boston College in 2007 and 2008. Diana is from Puerto Rico, and for the past 8 years has been a teacher at Hurley K-8 Dual Language School.  I teach because there is nothing better than seeing a kid’s face when they finally get it. Whether it’s learning how to read or to tie their shoelaces. That, and the fact that no one can ever take from them what they’ve learn. It’s theirs forever. That’s a pretty cool thing to give a kid. Callie is from Minneapolis. After college, she joined the Peace Corps and spent two years living and working in Peru. She now works for EF High School Exchange Year, helping high school students from around the world experience life as a high school student in the US. Boston brought us together, and has become our home. We met here, got married here, and have built a community of friends here. It’s a great place to be. We live in East Boston and we are #BOSTONMAde.”
