Calling All Elves - Santa Needs Your Help!

This could be you on your way there!

We know our fantastic ONEin3ers love to volunteer and we know how much everyone loves a good holiday celebration. And also, there’s nothing cuter than introducing little kids to Mr. Claus himself.

So here’s your chance!

Blackstone Community Center will be hosting photos with Santa on THIS SATURDAY Dec. 11th from 10am-4pm.

They need volunteers to help staff with coordinating the program.  Volunteers will help entertain children while waiting for Santa (reading, etc.), help photographer set up children for photo, print photos, etc.  And, if you are an avid photographer with knowledge of taking and printing photos, they would love your help too.

All volunteers must be CORI’d prior to Dec. 11th.

If you are interested, please contact, Caroline Foscato at cfoscato @ yahoo.com.

Looking for A Few Good…Mock Interviewers

In the spirit of the holidays, this month many Bostonians will volunteer their time and energy to local causes, either through a monetary donation, a volunteer opportunity, or just an act of kindness toward another. December is a joyful month for many reasons. However, one’s philanthropy does not need to end when the New Year ball drops.

I’m writing today to tell you all about a volunteer opportunity with Bottom Line, a local nonprofit organization that is dedicated to helping disadvantaged students get into college and excel beyond. They are hosting their annual Go Far Forum at the Westin Copley Place Hotel on Thursday, January 13 and are currently looking for volunteers to conduct mock interviews with the college students in attendance. As a member of the ONEin3 Jobs & Careers subcommittee, I personally know how difficult and stressful job interviews can be, especially in hard economic times. This forum provides an invaluable opportunity for current young professionals to offer some guidance to future young professionals. So, please consider helping out.

More information and the registration form is available at http://www.bottomline.org/Survey.aspx.

Ho ho ho, you know you want to go…

~Dawn
