January, 2010:

February's First Edition of "Mo' Money Mondays"

Oh goodness ONEin3ers. Not only is this the beginning of a new and wonderful week, but the start of a new month as well.  What a better time to learn more about “keeping your mind on your money and your money on your mind?”

On a personal money note, my credit card was declined twice this weekend.  I think it is because I used it in Aruba but I’m not sure….probably should look into it.

If those previous two statements aren’t proof enough that I am horrible with money, I don’t know what is.  Therefore, I will once again direct you to the experts at ONEin3Money

Enjoy, my fabulous ONEin3ers!!!

The Active Life: Running All Around Boston

ONEin3ers HELLO! How’s it going on this fine Thursday?! Yes! Only one more day until the weekend.

It’s a pleasure to meet you all, albeit so far it’s really just a one sided conversation. I hope that over the next few months I get to know many of you much better! Let’s, together, talk about active things happening in Boston, shall we?! There’s soo many great things happening here in this wonderful city of ours!

First, (I almost forgot) allow me to introduce myself. My name is Justin. I’ve lived in the Boston area all my life. Grew up in Westwood, went to school at Bentley University, graduated and moved to Boston. Shortly after graduating, I started Social Boston Sports with a few friends (you’ll hear from Brian in the upcoming weeks) as a community to provide young professionals 21-35 with coed recreational sports leagues, social events, parties, and weekend ski trips all without an annual fee! Today we still run Social Boston Sports providing awesome events for a growing community of over 6,000 SBS-ers!

Boston is the place to be! We’ve got so many amazing people here doing incredible things. To sit idly by would be a travesty. I’m here to tell you about how you can get involved in Boston’s “active life”. Sports, hiking, adventure, skiing, skydiving, beaches, running, and soo much more!

This week I’m going to talk about running.

"ONEin3 Gets Around" Shows You the City!

Here at ONEin3 HQ, and with every group and volunteer that supports ONEin3, we try to find new ways to help you, dear ONEin3ers, engage with our great city professionally, civically and socially.

In honor of Fun Thursdays, we would like to announce a brand new concept to open Boston’s socializing doors!

Launched by the ONEin3 Boston Mayor’s Advisory Council, ONEin3 Gets Around will highlight the hidden gems (stores, restaurants, attractions) across all neighborhoods of Boston by presenting small exclusive gatherings.

Humpday Jobday and ONEin3 Networking Nights!

In honor of Humpday Jobday, the ONEin3 Mayor’s Advisory Council‘s  is excited to announce TWO great new programs designed to get you, dear ONEin3er, a job.

For starters, we’ll be hosting a FREE networking night with a focus: How Volunteering Can Land You a Job.

Learn about volunteer opportunities in Boston and how your fellow ONEin3ers have turned a volunteer gig into their dream job. We’ll hear from YAVA, Boston Cares and helpful hints from volunteers turned employees.

Date: Wednesday, February, 24th

Time:6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Location: Dillon’s, 955 Boylston Street

RSVP: deveau.amy [AT] gmail.com

And for their next trick, the Council will be announcing our first ever Sector Trek focused on the Life Sciences. That will be worth its own post, so keep an eye out, but suffice it to say that it’s looking like a great program and you’ll want to be a part of it.
